Review of Oppo Brothers, UK brand of low-carb ice cream available also in the Netherlands. In Holland, you can find it in Albert Hejin and Jumbo.

Is Oppo Brothers Ice Cream keto?

Oppo is for sure a low-carb Ice cream, but it cannot be defined as keto ice cream. It contains many ingredients that are not keto-friendly, such as Maltitol, starch, and sugar syrup.

Oppo Brothers Ice cream tubes

Oppo has a a few ice cream types and flavours of flavors. In the Netherlands, we have a limited number, but hey, let’s award the effort.
The ice cream with the best values are the tubes.

Each tube counts 400 ml. Here are the flavours

Oppo Salted Caramel Swirl: 80 calories, 3,5 gr fat, 7,4 gr carbs (of which sugars 5,6 gr), 2,5 gr protein, for 100 ml.
Oppo Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough: 169 calories, 7,7 gr fat, 19,1 gr carbs (of which sugars 12,9 gr), 4,5 gr protein, for 100 ml.
Oppo Gooey Chocolate Brownie: 98 calories, 4,5 gr fat, 9,4 gr carbs (of which sugars 6,3 gr), 3 gr protein, for 100 ml.
Oppo Strawberry Cheesecake: 88 calories, 4,5 gr fat, 10 gr carbs (of which sugars 5,9 gr), 2,2 gr protein, for 100 ml.
Oppo Caramelised Biscuit: 162 calories, 7,4 gr fat, 15,7 gr carbs (of which sugars 12,7 gr), 4,6 gr protein, for 100 ml.

All the flavors contains non-keto friendly ingredients, such as Sugar syrup, Maltodextrine, Sugar and Flour.

Is Oppo Brothers Ice Cream Keto?

All the flavors contains non-keto friendly ingredients, such as Sugar syrup, Maltodextrine, Sugar and Flour. Therefore, Oppo ice cream cannot be considered keto-friendly. Despite the ingredients, Oppo ice cream can be considered low-carb.

How many grams is 100 ml of Oppo ice cream?

I was very confused in the past regarding the calories and macros of Oppo.
100 ml is not equal to 100 grams.

I finally found on their website that 100 ml of ice cream equals to 59 grams (2 scoops).

My Opinion on Oppo Brothers Ice Cream

Up to 2022 I was on my “Oppo Era”, and I was a fan of this ice cream – available in many flavors (see pics below!).

In 2023, I noticed that Oppo started to change ingredients, replacing Maltitol with sugar.
The non-keto ingredients are now too many, and the taste has worstened.
A price for a tub is 6,39 at the moment, and I have always the impression that this ice cream is more air than product.

All considered, Oppo is not appealing anymore and I am not buying it.
