Happy New Year! 🎉
2025 was an amazing year, I felt truly “locked in” after my keto experience. I even managed to see the 6 on the scale, which felt incredible.
Of course, over Christmas and New Year, my balance was lost… on purpose! I bought some (aka a lot) Italian food and fully enjoyed it. But as soon as the leftovers are gone, I’m back to being locked in.
My last year’s goal was to master the jump rope. I had so much fun, and I achieved it! Even more, I can criss-cross and shuffle with the rope. Yes, form is still a bit goofy, but I’m getting there slowly.
This year, the focus won’t be on the rope. I will keep jump-roping because I love it and it’s a good cardio. But the 2026 mission is back strength.
For a while now, I haven’t been progressing with my back. Some exercises are still challenging, and I can’t lift more.
For example, right now, I struggle with the pull down exercise (45 kg for 6–8 reps). I want to reach 50–60 kg and, most importantly, finally master 1 full pull-up.
To do this, I’ll focus more on the assisted pull-up machine and skip as few back days as possible.
I’d also like to shred a bit more, but that’s tricky for me. I tend to overeat and snack after dinner.
I can be disciplined in many things, but when the craving hits, it hits hard.

My 2026 Promises to Myself
- Gym as a lifestyle: Keep going 5–6 times per week.
- Track calories: Use MyFitnessPal to stay aware without being obsessive.
- Focus on protein: Hit my protein goals with high-protein meals.
- Back strength: Train back 2–3 times per week, including assisted pull-ups.
- Jump rope: Keep practicing for fun and cardio.
- Balanced snacks: Don’t avoid temptations, mostly replace them with smarter choices.
- Hydration: Drink 2–3 liters of water daily.
- Weekly check-in: Weigh myself once a week to stay in tune with progress + gym selfies for a visual result
Remind to myself: progress not perfection.
