I made myself a promise this year: I’d see the 6 again on the scale.
The last time I saw it was back in the summer of 2020. Back then, it was keto and intermittent fasting — the whole shebang.
And it worked… until it didn’t.
Eventually, I was gaining weight even while staying “keto clean.” That was one of the most disheartening things — doing all the “right” things and still seeing progress slip away.
And you know how it ended, with a definitive Goodbye to Keto.
But this week, I saw the 6 again. And this time, I did it with balance, with moderation… and yes, with carbs. 🍞🍝😍
This win means the world to me.
This journey hasn’t been fast. But it’s been happy slow — the kind of progress that came without sacrificing life.
I never said no to a spritz on a sunny day ☀️, or real ice cream when I wanted it.
I had pizza on the weekends, that little chocolate after coffee, and yes, burgers and fries when I craved them.

I actually practiced balance.
For real.

That doesn’t mean it was easy. It took discipline. It took honesty with myself. It meant tracking almost every day, managing internal noise, and pushing through those moments when food felt loud and comfort was tempting.
But I did it. I’m proud. I did this alone.
No extreme restrictions.
No cutting entire food groups.
No medication.
Just me, my consistency, a few trusted high-protein recipes (yes, the ones you can find here on the blog – just trust meeeee), MyFitnessPal app, and all the small internal battles most people never see.
The 6 is back.
And this time, I hope I can keep it.
Next goal: lean down a little more. Shred. Push further.
