Oppo High Protein Ice Cream – Review

Date
Jul, 04, 2025

Finally, after weeks of waiting, I got my hands on the Oppo Pro High Protein Ice Cream – time for a review!

It had been on sale at Flink for weeks, but I don’t have access to it. Then, finally, it appeared at Jumbo! Not every Jumbo stocks it, so I had to go to a more distant location.

Buuut… the important thing is: I finally have it now! 😄

Taste & Texture

The texture is super creamy, just like real ice cream. It softens quickly — I left it out for 5 minutes and it was already perfectly scoopable.

Two flavors are available for now:

  • Strawberry Cheesecake: A delicate vanilla/cake flavor with crunchy biscuit pieces, rippled with a sweet strawberry swirl.
  • Chocolate Brownie: Packed with generous chunks of chocolate brownie and swirled with thick, chocolate fudge-flavored ribbons.

I really love the taste. I’ve tried other Oppo ice creams before, but this line is on a whole new level when it comes to flavor and consistency.

Honestly, it’s tastier than Gelatelli, Lohilo, and the regular Oppo tubs!

The only competition, in my humble opinion, can be with the AH Protein Chocolate Ice cream –

Comparatively:

It also carries a Nutri-Score of A, which is a big plus!

Oppo High Protein Ice Cream

Yay or Nay?

YES YES YES!
This ice cream has amazing texture, great taste, and no added sugar or maltitol.

In my opinion, it’s one of the best options available in the Netherlands if you’re looking for a healthy, high-protein ice cream. (Along with the Albert Heijn Protein Chocolate Ice Cream).

Will I buy it again?
Absolutely! I love the single serving jar!

Is Oppo Pro High Protein Ice Cream – Review Low Carb?

Partially. It’s not strictly low-carb due to the presence of sugar, glucose syrup, and starches that are high in carbs.

Is Oppo Pro High Protein Ice Cream Keto?

Not quite. It contains sugar and glucose syrup – both to be avoided on keto.

It has multiple carb-heavy flours and starches. Even though erythritol and stevia are keto-friendly, the presence of sugars and flours makes this ice cream not suitable for a ketogenic diet.

Oppo Pro High Protein Ice Cream is Available at Jumbo, for 3,29 a jar. Will you try it?
