Taste & Texture
I’m so impressed with the texture. Unlike many others, it’s not rock hard for hours. Just 15 minutes out of the freezer and it’s ready to enjoy!
The taste is amazing, with an intense taste—better than any other supermarket “healthy” chocolate ice cream I’ve tried.
The label mentions Fair Trade chocolate, so I assume they’re using quality ingredients too.
Honestly, it’s tastier than Gelatelli, Lohilo, or Oppo!

Here is the nutritional value for 100g:

For your reference, a tube is 280 grams.
This ice cream has more protein than Gelatelli (between 7 and 9 depending on the flavor), Oppo (between 2 gr and 5 gr depending on the flavor) and Lohilo (10 gr protein).
It also has a Nutri-Score of A, which is a big plus.

Totally YES!
I finally found an ice cream with great taste, great texture, and no added sugar or maltitol.
In my opinion, this is the best option available in the Netherlands if you’re looking for a healthy treat with extra protein.
Will I buy it again?
Absolutely! And I’m so glad summer is just around the corner!

Yes—it’s low in sugar and works well for a low-carb diet, though not for strict keto. The main sweeteners (erythritol and stevia) are low-carb.
Oligofructose may add fiber without a major glucose impact for most people, and there’s 0g added sugar per 100g.
Is AH Protein Chocolate Ice Cream Keto?
Not quite. It’s lower in carbs than regular ice cream and uses keto-friendly sweeteners, but it also contains maltodextrin and oligofructose, which can raise blood sugar or kick you out of ketosis—especially if you’re strict about ingredients.
