I always loved Burger King and I’d rather have my burgers here than in McDonald’s. Burger King serves bigger, more cheesy, and tastier burgers than McDonald’s.

Is it possible to eat keto at Burger King?
Besides fries and buns, is possible to eat keto at Burger King. And it’s damn tasty.
You can order every beef burger on the menu and keep aside the bun. Skip the sauces, the fries, the milkshakes, and the ice-creams, and you will have a tasty, low-carb meal.

How to order keto and low-carb at Burger King in the Netherlands
Here are a few points to order while you place an order at Burger King.
- Do not order a menu, because it comes with fries.
- Order only beef burgers, because the chicken/fish burgers are crispy, and high in carbs.
- If you can, stay away from the sauces. Not always is possible to skip the ketchup or mayo, but special sauces, such as BBQ, are easy to remove from the totem.
- If it is not possible to skip the sauces, try a damage-control by wiping the burger with a tissue if you wish.
- Order only sugar-free drinks or water.
Focus on the beef burgers. Do not order a full menu of course, but the single burger.
If you are ordering or picking up you can also have the option to not have the bread. It is not the case, just toss the buns afterward. I always prefer to order an entire burger with the buns and remove them later because the buns keep the burgers in place.
Here below I’ve included the most popular options in every Burger King. Of course, toss the buns, and try to remove the sauces in excess.
This is the basic burger and for sure the cheapest. Is a Flame-Grilled Burger with pickles, ketchup and mustard.

Other low-carb options at Burger King in the Netherlands
The options below may not be totally keto, but they for sure are low-carb. We do our best every day, some flaws can be accepted.
This is a salad with lettuce, chicken, tomatoes, and a yogurt or vinaigrette sauce. The chicken is crispy. For portion is less than 20 gr of carbs. To be a salad from a fast food is not that bad. If you are on low-carb this is a good choice. If you follow a keto diet, you basically finished the carbs for the day.
The chicken wings are not crispy like the ones in KFC, but I think they put some flour (even if not too much) to make it tastier.
They are spicy. The carbs are 2,6 gr per 100 gr or 4,5 per portion (6 pieces). Not bad.
Are the chicken Nuggets in Burger King keto?
The chicken Nuggets in Burger King are not keto-friendly. For a portion of 6 nuggets, you will introduce 18,2 grams of carbs.

- Sugar-free soft-drinks (Cola, Red Bull)
- Black, unflavoured coffee
Is there any keto low-carb dessert n Burger King?
No unfortunately, all the desserts in Burger King contain sugar and they are high in carbs.
