For the past year and a half, I’ve enjoyed drinking Jever Fun — a sugar-free, non-alcoholic beer — on occasion.
I first discovered it while following a keto diet, and even then, it quickly became one of my go-to choices.
Although it’s low in carbs and contains no added sugar, it’s not entirely suitable for strict keto, which meant I had to enjoy it in moderation.
Now that I’m no longer on keto, I can drink it more freely — and this is my review.
Description and Flavour
Jever Fun is a sugar-free, alcohol-free beer. It’s brewed in the town of Jever, after which the brand is named, and it stays true to the classic German pilsener style.
When it comes to taste, I genuinely enjoy it. It’s crisp and refreshing, with the familiar bitterness and clean finish you’d expect from a traditional German pilsener — quite similar to Jupiler or Warsteiner.
If you’re a fan of regular pilseners, you’ll likely love Jever Fun.
What stands out most is that it has no strange aftertaste, which is something many alcohol-free beers struggle with.
Honestly, if I didn’t know it was sugar-free and alcohol-free, I wouldn’t be able to tell.

Jever Fun: Yay or Nay?
I’m a fan of pilseners, and while I don’t drink much beer in general, Jever Fun has become my favorite.
Even my husband enjoys it — and that says a lot!
Would I buy it again? Absolutely, YES.
I discovered this beer in January 2024, and I’ve been buying it regularly ever since. You can bet my fridge is always stocked with a few bottles.
It’s my go-to when I’m craving pizza and want the perfect beer pairing.
I don’t mind that it’s alcohol-free — the taste is so good, I honestly don’t miss the alcohol at all.
The only downside? I’d love to see Jever Fun available in bars.
For now, I’ve only been able to find it online or at Albert Heijn (AH).
