High Protein Hummus

High Protein Hummus: easy and fast to make, rich in protein!

Ingredients

for 10 portions:

  • 1 can (400 g) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 80 g Greek yogurt (0% fat)
  • 30 ml lemon juice
  • 1–2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 black pepper
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 15 ml olive oil (optional, for flavor and texture)
  • 60 gr Unflavored WHEY protein powder 
  • Optional garnish: paprika, parsley, roasted chickpeas

Tools Needed

  • 1 kitchen robot

Procedure

  1. Mince the garlic first
  2. Add chickpeas, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, cumin, to a food processor.
  3. Blend until mostly smooth.
  4. Slowly add olive oil and water while blending, until creamy.
  5. Add protein powder and blend thoroughly.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  7. Transfer to a bowl and garnish with your favorite toppings.

Storing tips

Store in the fridge, in airtight containers for up to 4 days.
