Ragù Protein wraps: delicious, protein-packed, perfect for meal prep, easy to reheat!
Ingredients
For 6 wraps:
FOR THE RAGÙ
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 400 g ground beef, low fat
- 500 g tomato sauce, without added sugar, I recommend Heinz
- Salt and desired spices
OTHER INGREDIENTS
- 6 Tortillas (Santa Maria or Protein Wraps for extra protein – PROZIS | code SIMONAZ)
- 300 gr Cottage cheese
Tools Needed
- 1 pot, for the ragù
- Aluminium Foil, to store the wraps
Procedure
Prepare the ragù: Add the oil to a pot. Add the onion, sauté for 5 minutes, until brown.
Next, add the ground beef, minced, break it up as finely as possible, using a spatula.
Add salt and desired spices. When the beef is cooked, add in the tomato sauce and simmer on a low heat for about 20 minutes. Set aside to let it cool.
Assemble the Wraps: Place each tortilla on a piece of aluminum foil. Divide the cottage cheese into 6 equal portions and place in the center of each tortilla. Divide the ragù on top.
Wrap and Store: Fold in the sides of each tortilla, then roll tightly into a wrap.
Heat a bit on a warm pan for 1 minute (optional).
Wrap each one in aluminum foil to keep fresh.
