Broccoli & Tuna Pasta: easy and light high protein meal
Ingredients
For 4 portions:
- 240 g pasta, I used De Cecco orecchiette
- 4 cans tuna in water (drained)
- 800 g broccoli, steamed
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Salt (for boiling the pasta)
- Optional final touch: low fat pesto and/or protein grated Cheese
Tools Needed
- 1 pot (for pasta)
- Cutting board
- 1 bowl, to combine all the ingredients
- 2 Meal Prep Boxes, I use these
Procedure
Instructions:
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Add salt to the boiling water as desired.
- Steam the broccoli. My favorite method is using the microwave — it only takes about 6 minutes.
- Finely chop the steamed broccoli and place it in a large bowl.
- Drain the tuna and add it to the bowl with the broccoli.
- Drain the pasta once it’s cooked, then add it to the bowl.
- Drizzle with olive oil and mix everything together until well combined.
- Divide the mixture evenly into your meal prep containers.
