Cottage Cheese Protein Balls Recipe, delicious, 98 calories per ball.
Ingredients
For 12 protein balls:
FOR THE BALLS
- 100 gr fat reduced cottage cheese
- 50 gr almond flour
- 50 gr WHEY protein powder
- 1/2 teaspoon aroma vanilla
- 1 tablespoon sugar-free marple syrup
- 40 gr Protein Puffies
FOR THE CHOCOLATE COVER
- 50g sugar-free dark chocolate
- 15g sugar-free white chocolate
Tools Needed
- 1 food processor or blender (to mix the cottage cheese)
- 1 bowl
- Parchment Paper
- Food Gloves
Procedure
- Blend the cottage cheese until smooth.
- In a medium bowl, mix all the ingredients for the dough balls until well combined.
- Refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes to reduce stickiness.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Put on food-safe gloves and roll the dough into evenly sized balls—you should get about 12 to 14.
- Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet and transfer them to the freezer.
- Freeze for at least 20 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate (either using a double boiler or in the microwave).
- Dip each dough ball into the melted chocolate. You can use toothpicks or a fork to make this easier. Let the excess chocolate drip off to ensure there’s enough for all the pralines. Then place the pralines back on the parchment-lined sheet
- Refrigerate until the chocolate coating has hardened.
- Melt the white chocolate (again, using a double boiler or microwave).
- Remove the toothpicks and drizzle white chocolate over the dough balls for decoration. You can use a fork or cookie tool to create pretty lines.
