My high-protein radar—well, mostly my husband—spotted Dalla Costa Protein Pasta at Jumbo.
I only went in for my beloved High-Protein mousse, but I walked out with this pasta too.
Dalla Costa Protein Pasta is available in penne and fusilli.
Ingredients & Nutritional Values
Dalla Costa Protein pasta is made from wheat semolina and pea protein.
Per 100g:
- 332 kcal
- 2.9g fat
- 41g carbs
- 11g fiber
- 30g protein
Taste & Texture
The taste is good, but if you don’t pair it with a strong sauce, you might notice a slight aftertaste—probably from the pea protein.
The texture is a big win for me. Unlike many other protein pastas I’ve tried, this one doesn’t break apart during cooking. However, if you prefer soft pasta, this might not be for you.
Even when cooked longer than the suggested time, it stays quite firm and al dente. (Al dente means “to the tooth” in Italian, referring to pasta that is firm when bitten rather than soft or mushy.)

Yay or Nay?
✔️ Great availability, being available at Jumbo supermarkets
✔️ Strong nutritional profile, with 30 gr protein per 100 gr of product
✔️ Good texture (if you like firm pasta)
So, will I buy it again? I’m not 100% sold on the taste, but with 30g of protein per 100g of pasta, I’m definitely happy with it. I won’t be rushing to Jumbo for a repeat purchase, but I’ll definitely grab it now and then when I want an easy way to hit my protein goals.
