Probably you have the so-called <strong>keto flu<\/strong>.<br><br>The keto flu is a<strong> multitude of symptoms <\/strong>related to the transaction of the body starting to burn fats, not sugar anymore, to produce energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Switching to a low carb diet lowers the insulin level in our body.<br>This brings to expel more sodium in the urine (that\u2019s why in the first week of keto we will urinate like crazy).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The consequence of increased urination is a visible weight loss on the scale, but losing a lot of water and sodium brings along also many symptoms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_are_the_symptoms_of_the_Keto_flu\"><\/span>What are the symptoms of the Keto flu?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tiredness<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Headache<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lack of motivation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dizziness<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Difficulty to focus<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nausea<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Muscle cramps&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_long_the_symptom_will_last\"><\/span>How long the symptom will last?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Most people experience the symptoms in the first week, especially in the first <strong>3-5 days<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rarely you will have the keto flu for 2 whole weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some people don\u2019t experience any strong symptoms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Remedies_for_the_Keto_flu\"><\/span>Remedies for the Keto flu<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Below you will find my favourite remedies, according to my experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Drink plenty of water<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Since our body expels more water during the first week is important to replenish it. <br>Try to drink at least 2,5 l of liquids, especially water. You think it&#8217;s difficult drink 2-3 liters per day? Thank check my <a href=\"https:\/\/trustnocarb.com\/index.php\/2021\/04\/02\/tricks-to-drink-more-water-and-build-your-hydration-routine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tricks to drink more effortlessly<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Moderate the physical exercise<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>in the first week do not stress your body with powerful physical activity. Exercise is important for our functioning, but the transaction to a low-carb diet can worsen the symptoms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have strong symptoms switch a workout for a walking or a yoga session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eat more carbs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are starting to feel low and weak take a step back and increase your carbs intake to 50 grams per day. <br>This should help the transition and help the body fight the new low carb regime. <br>When you feel ready, lower your carbs intake to 30-20 grams per day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supplements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Consider to start taking some <a href=\"https:\/\/ketonetherlands.com\/index.php\/2020\/05\/01\/best-supplements-for-the-keto-diet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">supplements<\/a>. The beginning of the keto journey is very delicate and brings us to lose many minerals and vitamins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Himalayan Salt<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Drink a glass of water with a half teaspoon of Himalayan sea salt.<br>Max 3 times per day.
